What is Any Weather?

Any Weather is a series of fanfictions by the writer and illustrator EwokRae22, also known as creative-chaos-apparently. The series began in 2021 continues to this day. The first ten parts of the series comprise the original run of Any Weather, and the following thirteen (and counting!) parts comprise Against the World, the sequel series.

Beginning with only canon characters in The Sanctuary, the series expanded to a cast of over twenty, including other historical figures, works of art, original characters, and cameos from other series such as historical-kitten's Kingdoms and HungryOnMain's i'm afraid i'll go to heaven.

The series itself encompasses over 400,000 words, and at the time of writing, is nearly complete. It has inspired other artists and writers to create fan art of the series, works inspired by the story, and gift fics given to the author to expand the universe.

Due to its significance to the fandom, and the breadth of works present, the NatM Search has deemed it important enough to receive its own page. This page will host links to the series, its side stories, its gift works, and eventually a full PDF of the series for the Search's library.

Be advised - while Any Weather itself is G-rated, Against the World is not. It contains sex, violence, harsh language, heavy themes, and nudity. Reader discretion is advised.

Synopsis

Beginning pre-SOTT, the group goes on a vacation to Canada. During this time, Jedediah and Octavius become romantically involved. Their romance evolves over the course of the series, eventually moving past SOTT and into the present day (2020s). The two lovers promise to stay by one another's side "through any weather". Indeed, they do, as each part covers a different weather pattern or natural disaster - snow, rain, fire - and they persist.

At some point, they acquire their daughter, Julia. She is the soul of Julia Augusti, the daughter of Augustus, Rome's first emperor, which Octavius is revealed to be. The tale from that point on has her with them, growing up and taking on the challenges of being small.

However, the happiness cannot last. Death, memories, and betrayal follow the group, and evolve into something worse than they could have imagined.

For the sake of spoilers, we won't tell you who to keep an eye out for. But we WILL say that you won't have a good idea of swans after this series.
