The first draft of NatM 3, the final one missing of the original trilogy. This search is huge, and something that has a dedicated team searching for it. If you want to help, contact the Search!

For brevity, we will be referring to Michael Anthony Steele's Secret of the Tomb novel adaptation as "the junior novel".

Confirmed to Exist

Due to the nature of merchandising, merch teams get older versions of projects so that merch can be ready by release. This means that the novelizations for Secret of the Tomb contain scenes that didn't make it to the film itself. These do appear in the deleted scenes on occasion, implying they were in a focus testing cut of the film or a work print.

Deleted Scenes vs Junior Novel

Sequence Deleted Scenes Junior Novel
McPhee Sees the Tablet Glow

McPhee sees the tablet glow without Tilly.

Hand Kiss

Lancelot kisses Larry's hand.

Cleopatra

Only seen in a brief snippet on the DVD's bonus features, there is a scene where the main gang stops by Cleopatra. According to the junior novel, she kisses Larry.

Lancelot Line Change

This line appears in the novel, but not the film.

LANCELOT: Do you know how long I've dreamed of coming home?

Minis Stealing Toothpicks

Seen on Michael Cawood's previs reel.[1] The Romans use their catapults to fire the Westerners onto the bar in the planetarium, who then steal toothpicks. This is not in the junior novel.

Alleged to Exist

The sources for these lines are not confirmed or reliable. Take them with a grain of salt.

Ahkmenrah's Death Confirmation

Caption

While the NATM 2 original script did confirm that Ahkmenrah was murdered by Kahmunrah,[2] it is unknown as to how he was murdered. The following lines are advocated by a single source on Twitter, who refuses to share the original script. It is likely that these lines were entirely fabricated.

MEHRENKAHRE: "It was the darkest and hardest day of my life when I lost you, you were butchered. I'll never forget your mother running in and screaming your name, she couldn't believe that you were gone."
SHEPSEHERET: "A parent's grief is one of the worst, especially when my young gorgeous boy had been slashed into pieces."
