Hidden Treasures was an app created by 20th Century Fox and released alongside Secret of the Tomb. It was developed by Pocket Gems over a three month period.[1] The game was featured as one of the App Store's "best new games".[2] Most of what is known about this game was released by the game's art director, Megan Schlegel.

This game was considered lost until 2025, when multiple translations were located by SlightlyArtist. It is yet to be emulated and played since its rediscovery.

Some gameplay is archived in screenshots and videos, and there are many original characters exclusive to this game, including a Snow Maiden, Merlin of Camelot, and Karim.

Plot

The game is set in a fictional museum that's a cross between the AMNH, Smithsonian, and British Museums, featuring levels based on exhibits from all three movies of the LAT. The protagonist is a new night guard at this museum being mentored by Larry. At the beginning, you only have the front desk, but quickly unlock the Wild West and Age of the Dinosaurs. Tilly works at the Lost and Found desk, and by playing the game, you can turn items in to her desk to receive prizes.

Teddy is the first character to be unlocked, followed by Sacajawea, Octavius, Jedediah, an Einstein bobblehead, Attila, and an original character named Karim. Karim is one of Ahkmenrah's descendants, and eventually revealed to be the game's antagonist. He takes the exhibits hostage, and attempts to flee with the tablet's magic for himself.[4]

Meeting Teddy
"This is a mini-game where you swipe through wooden boxes to find keys, flashlights, magnets, and money. It's convenient for quickly obtaining in-game items and virtual currency, but the game has a rule that both the main search and the mini-game consume stamina each time you play."[5]
"These are the paid items. There are two types of in-game currency: "regular money" and "gold scarabs." Gold scarabs are mainly used to shorten the "waiting time" when unlocking new stages."[5]
