Teased for over a decade, the NATM Reboot was finally confirmed in 2025. Very little has been released about the project at this time, and the Search is keeping an eye out for any information regarding the new series.

Prehistory

Beginning as early as the casting stage of SotT's development, a fourth NATM movie and a continuation of the franchise was teased.[1] Unfortunately, later that year Robin Williams would pass on, bringing the live-action era to a definitive halt. Two years later, Alibaba Pictures acquired the rights to remake the series from Fox, likely due to SotT making quadruple the box office returns of NatM (2006) in China.[2] In the 2017 Fox buyout, Disney acquired the rights to all Fox properties aside from the sports and news channels, including the NatM series. A reboot was announced in 2019,[3] and in 2022, Kahmunrah Rises Again was released as a streaming exclusive to Disney+.

Known Information

Shawn Levy and Dan Levine will be producing under their 21 Laps studio, the same that produced the live-action trilogy. Emily Morris will "oversee the project", but her exact role is not specified. Tripper Clancy will be screenwriting.[4]
